2023 Hedon State, Silky Smooth Vidal Blanc, Virginia

Hedon State's 2023 Vidal Blanc leads with scents of lemon zest, honeydew melon, and the aroma of honeysuckle. Its illusion of sweetness is accented by a mandarin citrus nuanced with subtle sweet floral and refreshing soft acidity. A cross between Ugni blanc and Rayon d’Or, is a hardy, thick-skinned grape that thrives in even the coldest wine-growing regions (a surprisingly helpful quality in Virginia’s varied climate).
