Vincent Girardin 2019 Corton Charlemagne (Grand Cru)
95 points DecanterFrom grapes purchased in the village of Aloxe-Corton near the vines of Coche-Dury, the staff of Vincent Girardin harvest the fruit, although the owner farms the vines, using organic techniques. The result is a top quality wine with ripe pear fruit, notes of hazelnut and honeycomb. The texture is creamy and very elegant, and while there is a lot of extract here, there is also great acidity and nothing is exaggerated. 93 points Robert Parker's Wine AdvocateGirardin's bottling of 2019 Corton-Charlemagne is very good, offering up aromas of pear, citrus zest and peach, complemented by hints of freshly baked bread and anise. Full-bodied, deep and textural, it's ample and seamless, with bright acids and a saline finish. 93 points Wine Spectator Elegant, yet with presence and intensity, evoking lemon cake, apple and vanilla aromas and flavors. A bracing structure drives the clean, lemon- and spice-tinged aftertaste. Best from 2023 through 2030. ***Extremely limited. Please
