Sewing Basics 1 Workshop

Learn how to operate a sewing machine and sew basic stitches. We cover sewing from the beginning. Feel confident that you can thread your own machine, wind a bobbin, and sew a straight stitch. We will walk step-by-step through how to make a small pillow by the end of the class. All of the materials needed for the project will be supplied, along with tools needed. You are welcome to bring your own sewing "kit" if you have one. You are also welcome to bring your own choice of fabric and coordinating thread; an optional supply list will follow. $55 per person Workshop is 2 - 3 hours depending on ability and number of participants Workshop Details: supplies included: fabric, thread, and pillow form equipment/tools: scissors, seam rippers, pins, measuring tapes, ironing station, cutting area, and sewing machine choice of fabric (will vary depending upon availability) guided instruction plan for at least 2 hours 5 spots available This a basic class and assumes you do not know how to sew.
