Print:  11x17" Maquette Subject:  8th Fighter Squadron - F-16C - Nighthawk Tribute Paper:  Satin finish heavyweight card stock In June 2024, the 8th Fighter Squadron's "Black Sheep" unveiled a specially painted, matte black F-16 to honor the unit's heritage with the F-117A Nighthawk.  As one of the Holloman squadrons who flew the F-117, this special scheme reflects the history, Nighthawk heritage, and squadron identity of the Black Sheep.  “The F-117 paint scheme preserves and honors the legacy of the 8th FS from 1992 to 2008 and fosters a sense of pride continuity, reinforcing the unit’s identity and traditions,” said Martha Whipple, 49th Wing historian. “This paint scheme bridges the past and present, educating the new generations of maintainers and pilots about the history of the Black Sheep.” Available now from Third Offset Designs, this print is a unique showcase of the F-16, the F-117, and the heritage of the 8th Fighter Squadron.
