F-22 Raptor - 27th Fighter Squadron FAFO

Product:  11x17" Maquette Print Subject:  27th Fighter Squadron F-22 Raptor Medium:  Semi-Gloss Cardstock print On 4 Feb 2023, F-22 Raptors from Langley AFB, VA, flying as FRANK-01 and FRANK-02, launched on a mission to intercept a Chinese air vehicle that had been drifting across the United States for several days.  Firing an AIM-9X missile, FRANK-01 successfully destroyed the balloon, honoring the legacy of the 27th Fighter Squadron's own Frank Luke Jr, the Arizona Balloon Buster, who is credited with destroying 14 enemy balloons and 4 aircraft in WW1, over the course of only 10 sorties in 8 days. This print honors the legacy of that mission, showcasing the 27th Fighter Squadron flagship, Lt Frank Luke Jr, and the first acknowledged/confirmed air-to-air kill for the Raptor.  Printed on semi-gloss cardstock, this colorful commemorative print is an excellent addition to any modern aviation historical collection.
