Julien Altaber, "Les Clos Roussots" Maranges 1er Cru, 2018

After years of working for Domaine Derain, Dominique helped Julien Altaber acquire certain parcels of interesting varieties (Aligoté, Gamay, etc.) from truly organic farmers throughout Burgundy. All of this has led to the present situation which, upon Dominique’s recent ‘retirement’ from winegrowing, Domaine Derain has become a joint production from Julien Altaber and the Derains. In addition to this, Julien’s own imprint has, year after year, expanded its range of delicious, experimental Burgundian creations (e.g. the only macerated Pinot Gris you’ll find in the region). 100% Pinot Noir from the Maranges appellation in Côte de Beaune.
