“A winemaker can choose to be an artist or a chemist.” Anton Von Klopper of Lucy Margaux Farm has a very clear approach to winegrowing and what he puts out into the world; his are iconic natural wines of Australia that have long pointed the way to the future for loads of fellow natural winegrowers throughout the country. His wines follow the intuitive streak endemic to some of the best kinds of art, trusting one’s own divining of what materials they are given, and following what they feel those materials are saying. In any case, these are zero-zero gems, pure & wild with an expert’s touch from the rugged, winsome, drop-to-your-knees beauty of the Adelaide Hills.  100% Pinot Noir. The vines are cultivated with zero chemicals, farmed organically and biodynamically. Grapes are hand harvested, destemmed and undergo 6 days of carbonic maceration, followed by fermentation in vats and maturation 10 months in old barrels. Unfined, unfiltered, no SO2.
