Course Overview This course offers an incredible exploration into the dimensional work of silk purls.  Silk purls are copper wires fully covered in filament silk, wound around a round or shaped mandrel to create springs. These versatile threads can be couched onto surfaces or cut and threaded in techniques similar to goldwork embroidery.
