Formed in 1987, Phoenix, Arizona's RECKLESS ABANDON quickly began writing original material and extensively playing live shows with the likes of popular locals such as Psychic Pawn, Lurch Killz, Mizery and Knights of Bloody Steel, which culminated in the debut demo, "The Dead of Winter", released in 1990.  The three songs that they laid down on tape (clocking in at 23 minutes) were a blend of U.S. Power Metal, Thrash and Progressive Metal that caught not only the attention of their local scene, but the attention of underground 'zines from Europe and Japan as well.
