I combed through current and historical maps, visited the Anacortes Museum, and spoke with longtime residents while working on this project. Having been fortunate enough to call this island home for over a decade, I've done a lot of boots-on-the-ground research myself, hiking, biking, and exploring all over Fidalgo Island.
