1980s Hamer Custom 12-String Bass Deep Red w/30" Scale Length #615717 (PDX)
Freshly inspected and set up in-house by our esteemed Guitar Tech. In Excellent condition with modest wear for an instrument of this age, including faint scratches, a few small dings, light edgewear on the headstock, and natural aging of parts and finish. The serial number of this bass would appear to date it to 1986, but custom models like this one don't always adhere to the standard Hamer numbering scheme. Hamer was a pioneer in 12-string bass production, introducing their first models in the late 1970s and continuing into the 1980s. Tom Petersson of Cheap Trick was a notable devotee of 12-string basses, playing models by Hamer, Gretsch, and other brands. This bass is a custom model with one volume control, one tone control, and three on/off toggles for individually selecting pickups. The short scale length makes this bass easier to play than you might think. And it offers a unique tonal palette that is, in our humble opinion, totally awesome. Comes with a hard shell case. Se
