Apache Bow Case and Quiver / 1880

A quiver set constructed from native-tanned buffalo hide; painted at both ends with yellow and green ochre. The quiver features an opening ornamented with sinew-sewn seed beads of yellow and blue. Suspended from the opening is a long tapering tab which is stained with yellow pigment and furthermore accented with a central Maltese cross, bordered by lanes of blue and yellow beads. Fringe terminated in tin cones suspends from the tab.  48" long (as displayed) Ex Michael Boyce, NV #40155
