DESCRIPTIONScientific Name: Amblyseius swirskiiSWIRSKII are generalist predatory mites that feed on small arthropod pests, including thrips, whiteflies, and various spider mites. SWIRSKII are typically beige or tan, measuring about 0.5mm in length, with relatively short legs and an oval body adorned with long, distinctive sensory hairs. These highly mobile predatory mites have a relatively short reproductive cycle making them a valuable predator for target pests. Females lay oval-shaped eggs attached to the leaf surface and near pest populations. Within 2-3 days, the eggs hatch into 6-legged larvae that actively search for pest eggs and small larvae for the next 1-3 days. After completing the larval stage, SWIRSKII progresses through two nymphal stages, lasting about 4-
