We cut the plywood into thin strips and clamp them all together with the end grains flipped upright to create the subtle stripe pattern on top. We finish the piece with solid oak wood trim along the front and back of the table. Looks great with a variety of decor styles such as mid-century modern, farmhouse or rustic spaces. *The top is smooth, but we do leave some minor texture / wood flaws in each piece to give it a little rustic character. *Each table will be different, but present the style shown.
