The bourbon was distilled in the year 1996, and matured for over 25 years before being bottled at 90 proof. The O.F.C. brand pays homage to the Old Fashioned Copper Distillery that was opened by Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. in 1870, and is known today as Buffalo Trace. The most state-of-the-art distillery of its era featured copper fermentation vats, column stills, and a first-of-its-kind steam heating system that is used to make award-winning bourbon whiskey in Buffalo Trace’s aging warehouses to this day.
