"New Jersey Devils of the eastern conference won the 2000 Stanley Cup Championship defeating the Dallas Stars of the western conference in four games to two. This was the second Stanley Cup for the Stars. Scott Stevens was named the Most Valuable Player of the Series.The teams met in New Jersey after the Dallas Stars defeated the Colorado Avalanche 4-3, and the Devils defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3. The first and second games were claimed by the Devils with a score of 7-3 and 2-1, respectively. Games three and four were won by the Dallas Stars with a score of 1-0 and 2-1, respectively.
