Duke fans! There is no better way to honor the legendary career of Coach K than with this joyous image of Duke’s 4th national title! The 2010 National Title Game was played on April 5, 2010 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, and featured South Regional Champions, #1 seeded Duke Blue Devils, and the West Regional Champions, #5 seeded Butler Bulldogs. Duke got off to a hot start behind Nolan Smith scoring 4 points, giving them a 6-1 lead. Shelvin Mack kept Butler in the game, and after hitting crucial 3 pointers, the Bulldogs led 20-18. Duke bounced back hard, with John Scheyer’s scoring giving Duke a 33-32 lead going into halftime. During the 1st seven minutes of the 2nd half, neither team took a lead larger than 2. This nerve-wracking back-and-forth continued throughout, until with 3:16 remaining, Nolan Smith made a pair of free throws to give Duke a 60-55 lead.
