Material: Brass Diameter: about 38 x35 mm Weight: 9 g During the Russian-Turkish war from 1806 to 1812, Russian troops invaded the city of Bazargik (today Dobrich, located in northeastern Bulgaria). On 13 June 1810, the cross was donated and awarded to deserving Russian officers who had received neither the 4th Class Order of St George nor the 4th Class Order of St Vladimir during this battle. The non-commissioned officers and crews involved in the storming received a silver medal. Selivanov explains (in NU35 p. 111 f.) that this cross was also made by jewelers as a second production.
