Also known as Arizona Anthill Garnet, this deep red chrome pyrope was first discovered by Native Americans in small gravel sized pieces on the ground next to ant colonies. The ants brought these to the surface along with the sand and dirt when excavating their underground homes. In sizes from 4 to 5 carats each. The price is per carat.
