Nashbar Terra XT 1985 vintage Mountain Bike 21” frame 26” wheels Nitto Shimano custom refurbished

Survivor condition and upgraded 1985 Nashbar Terra XT mountain bike. Made in Japan 21" frame, 26" (559 ISO dia)  wheels.  Bike Nashbar was a huge mail order company, back when you got an actual catalog in your mailbox with an order form to send back with a check. Nashbar was famous for good value bikes and parts for a few bucks less than what you would find in bike shops a the time. In the 1980s, mountain bikes were on the fringe so finding anything purpose built for off road was even more special and hard to find. Enter Bike Nashbar, with the Terra XT.   This spec was solid when new: Shimano Deore deerhead Mountain group (rebranded from a cyclotouring group a few years earlier), Nitto bar/stem, Araya rims, etc. Over time, the finish endured some battle scars and some things just wore out that needed replacement. This is what we did:  The Nitto bullmoose bar/stem is in great shape, just needed a bit of polishing.  The saddle and seatpost are long gone, replaced with.  The Shimano Deor
