Envínate Ycoden Daute Isora "Benje" Tinto 2021

Country: Spain Region: Canary Islands Type: Red Wine Grape: Listán Prieto  Fruit comes from vineyards with sandy volcanic soils at around 1000-1200 meters of elevation on Tenerife. The vines are 70-100 years old. This region is dry, windy, and continental in character, shielded from Atlantic influence by Mount Teide. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with indigenous yeasts with a maceration period of 10-20 days before aging for eight months in concrete and used French oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with no added sulfur.  Fresh and minerally, with intense flavors of dark fruits, red currants, and cracked black pepper.
