Autumn Fire Encore Azalea
Rhododendron ‘Roblez’ PP28279 Derived from the Southern Indica and Kurume, this encore hybrid is native to Louisiana. The Encores are the most sun tolerant of the azalea family and bloom twice a year. The Fire Encore is part of the small encore azalea class that is fluffy with semi-double, ruffled blooms. Flaming with classic red, these beauties make excellent combination designs and work well independently as accents, foundations, or edge ornaments. The Fire Encore is compact, known to attract butterflies, and very little pruning is required, deeming this plant a low-maintenance variety. *Deer May Browse* Photo courtesy of Toms Creek Nursery in Denton, NC Ornamental Characteristics Category Flowering Shrub Foliage Type Evergreen Height 2.5' Spread 3' Shape Upright, Rounded Primary Foliage Color Green Seasonal Foliage Color Purple and bronze in the Winter Flowering Season Spring and Fall Flower Color True Red Environmental Characteristics Growth
