ca. 2001Shotgun - 2004(2-Sided)I remember writing this one over the course of a few days, mostly in my car as I made the rounds in Los Angeles. I had just returned from a visit to NYC for a show at the Bitter End. It was late September, just 2 weeks after 9/11. I was recalling all of the American flags (“good old glory”) hung from every overpass on the Jersey Turnpike. My girlfriend and I were just so content to be in love and alive as we drove out of the city and headed back west. That was always all I ever wanted the song to convey.
