Beautiful Handmade Sterling Campitos Naja with Turquoise and Navajo Bead Chain

Stone: This beautiful Navajo handmade Sterling Silver Naja features a medium cluster of darker blue grade AAA Campitos Turquoise stones on a 24" Navajo Bead and Turquoise Bead Chain. Campitos Turquoise is known for it's brilliant blue color and can range in shades from light to medium blue to a vibrante blue-green. Prized for its beauty and clarity, Campitos turquoise contain traces of pyrite, giving it extra luster and sparkle. They sometimes features a matrix of thin dark brown or black webbed lines. The Campitos Mountain located outside Cananea, Sonora, Mexico has been in production since the 1980s. Unlike most turquoise, Campitos is found within deposits of clay, where it develops into free-form, uniquely shaped nuggets. Artist: Bobby Johnson is longtime Navajo silversmith. He was born in Church Rock, New Mexico. He learned the tricks of the trade from his brothers and sisters who were master silversmiths.
