Stone: This classy set of sterling silver dangle earrings features two rare light blue New Lander turquoise with a heavy black matrix. New Lander Turquoise is in fact a form of chalcosiderite rather than turquoise but it is considered a type of turquoise because of the similarity of it to the lander blue turquoise. After polishing, it usually shows black spider web matrix on yellow orange and green chalcosiderite. Today, jewelry makers are seeking after real new lander material because of it's thin black matrix as opposed to typical coarsely webbed material.
