Here is a 3rd Rail 2209 O Sunset Models B&O 2-8-0 Brass Locomotive & Tender. Features include brass construction, brass trucks, knuckle couplers, metal wheels & axles, and a motor. Introduced as a relative 'Late-comer" to the industry the 2-8-0 would quickly rise to popularity as a freight hauler the late 19th and early 20th century with its use spanning from the US to Europe. Hailed for its versatility during its run, the 2-8-0 would serve as a heavy freight hauler for various rail-ways before eventually seeing its use wind down starting in 1915. With a handful now in museums, there is still one model still operating in Pennsylvania today!This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance.
