NEW FIND 2024 Tanga Rhodolite Garnet - Blind Pour - Price Per Carat

Gem:  Tanga Rhodolite Garnet Weight:  each piece weighs between 2.8 to 4.5 ct. - Minimum order is 10 ct. Dimensions:  good 3D alluvial shapes  8 to 15 mm  Clarity:  Mostly VS, with a few being SI and a few being VVS+ Origin:  Tanga, Umba Valley, Tanzania Treatmments:  None Comments: This new find of garnets in Tanga Tanzania made quite a splash in the gem rough world.  The colors have a good range of tones including reddish orangey pink, magenta, and purplish pink.  They also seem to have a ittle extra fire, and the color is a bit more open than your average rhodoite garnet. Although nothing, in my opinion, can compare to how special original find Mahenge garnets were, these garnets do a pretty good job trying.  I did a test cut on this rough, with each of what I would call the three most obvious colors (mentioned above).
