Watermelon Tourmaline Crystal / Facet Rough - Eye Clean - 3.38 ct.

Gem:  Watermelon Tourmaline Weight:  3.38 ct. Dimensions:  8.7 x 8.25 x 4.9 mm Clarity: Eye Clean Origin:  Rubaya Mine, Democratic Republic of Congo Treatments:  None - Natural gem Comments: WOW!  Hot, intensely orangey pink dominates this gem visually, but the sweet light leafy electric green at the termination shouldn't be underestimated.  Both colors are extra hot and neon.  Looking through the C- axis, you'll see the hot pink expresses itself in two directions.  The rough is a tad flattish, but there's a lot you can do with it to maximize its' footprint, OR you can sacrifice just a hair of length or width, and be able to hit a normal depth for the culet with not too much loss. User's choice.  I would personally want to attempt an opposed bar pixel square - Those can be effective while pretty shallow, and can be modified to adjust for depth relatively easily.
