This presentation will cover the essentials of preparing a successful research proposal, including defining the research question, developing the scientific plan, documenting, writing a budget, ethical concerns, etc. Focus will be on applications to the NIH. Dr. Calabrese will also discuss the funding process, including the review process for federally-funded research projects and how to maximize your changes of receiving funding.
