  USDA Certified Organic The Suntan apple is a beautiful, medium orange-red apple flushed with gold and striped red. The flesh is crisp, cream-colored,  juicy with an intense sweet-sharp flavor. Suntan apples are one of our favorite Cox Orange Pippin crosses. The Suntan apple tree is  vigorous, spreading and a heavy cropper. The fruit stores well into Christmas. The Suntan apple breaks dormancy relatively late  missing some early season frost. Consider Grimes Golden, Liberty and/or White Pearmain for pollination. Triploid.
