Additional Information dac® DHA PERFORM is a docosahexanoic Acid (DHA) supplement that may help reduce inflammation associated with training and competition in all classes of horses. Omega 3 fatty acids include a-linolenic acid (ALA, plant sources such as flax), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, marine sources such as algae), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, marine sources such as algae). There is NO EPA/DHA in any plants like flax, chia, hemp etc. The body does not utilize ALA directly, it must first be converted to EPA and DHA this conversion rate is poor.
