The Gondolo reference 5099 was introduced by Patek Philippe in 2000 and remained in production until 2008. This 28mm square watch is referred to as a "cabriolet" because it has a hinged cover made of rose and white gold stripes that opens when the lower lug buttons are pressed. The cover reveals an exquisite salmon dial with a grainy finish reminiscent of the 1920s. The dial is adorned with painted Arabic numerals, a seconds register at six o'clock, and black leaf hands.
