Ethereal Abstraction 2

This painting is part of series I call Ethereal Abstraction. The dictionary describes Ethereal as extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world. I tried to create a surface that has shapes of color and open spaces for an airy quality that is pleasing for the viewer. The sides are finished in gold leaf to give the painting a traditional/modern appeal. the painting has been varnished in a satin finish with UV polymers to protect the colors. In addition, the painting is wired and ready to hang.
