Study for Each Must Enter the Nest

I completed this small painting in preparation before doing a larger scale piece. Two eggs are nestled together in the center of the nest. A layer of eggshells is collaged on the canvas and then painted and shaded. The strands of the nest continue onto the sides of the gallery wrapped canvas and the back is wired to hang.
