Designed for materials with a combined thickness of 5/16" or slightly thicker, these 5/8" long rivets have a 3/8" diameter head and a 9/64" diameter body, making them suitable for a wide range of uses. Made of steel with a brass finish applied, these rivets deliver long-lasting strength and reliability for crafting projects. The package contains 50 split rivets. Split rivets provide a strong hold by being inserted through a pre-punched hole in the material and crimped so that the "legs" curl back to lock securely into wood or other materials. Ideal for leather, nylon, and other materials, split rivets are excellent for repairing straps, dog collars, and can also be used on cymbals, trunks, and boxes. Before setting your rivet, punch a hole in each piece of leather using a punch tool. Stack multiple leather pieces onto the rivet, place a washer on the backside, then use a split rivet tool to crimp the prongs open.
