This spoon was crafted by Benjamin Pierpont (1730-1797) out of Boston, Mass. Pierpont. It is an excellent example of early American silver-smithing and craftsmanship. It has "BP" marked on the reverse. It is also marked "DON" - I was unable to figure out who this mark is attributed to. It also has "L" and "S" in separate square stamps. It measures about 7 7/8" long - it's a large spoon. It is about 1.75" wide.
