Bulova Accutron "Accuquartz" 2240 Watch

Offered is this Rare FULLY SERVICED Bulova Accuquartz 2240 that sets and runs great. It has a brand new battery just installed and keeps excellent time. The 2240 marked the end of the Accutron movement in the early 70s. This model is from circa 1972 as denoted by the case number N2. The tuning forks vibrated only to drive the index mechanism. The rate was controlled by quartz circuitry in the module on the left side of the movement. It is signed on the dial, movement, crown, and case.
