Metallyticus splendidus. Iridescent bark mantis

Iridescent bark mantis (Metallyticus splendidus) -Borneo Metallyticus splendidus …is an extraordinary species of Metallyticid mantis which is spread throughout Southeast Asia. M. splendidus  This is a favorite of mine and have a small group M. splendidus of these and M. violaceus pairs and nymphs. They are relatively simple to care for though habitat and diet need be specific for successful rearing and breeding. I will being uploading log files as things develop, images as well. I feel privileged to have found these and am focused on having successful breeding colonies   Max. size: Male ~3,5 cm, female ~4 cm Care: Temperature: Day 25 - 30 °C, night room temperature Relative humidity: Day 60 - 70 %, night 70 - 90 % Recommended min. size of terrarium WxDxH: 20 x 20 x 20 cm Aggressiveness against each other: Very low Level of difficulty: difficult, feeding and habitat is specific Biology Molts until fully grown: Female ~8 (adult in L9), male ~7 (adult in L8)
