The bale is made of 14k yellow gold  This pendant does not come with a chain However, if you want it with a chain, please let us know which you prefer.  We offer a 16", 18", or 20" 14k yellow gold cable chain for $390 additional cost  We are now offering a sterling silver cable chain in 16", 18", 20" or 24" length.
