Victorian 5 Stone Ruby Ring in 15k Gold
This fantastic ring is set with five beautifully matched and richly colored rectangular faceted rubies. The ring was hand crafted in England in 1878 and bears the hallmarks for Birmingham, the makers mark of ‘O&Co’ and both ’15’ and ‘.625’ indicating the gold content of 15 karat. This size 7.75 ring measures 6.5 mm north to south and 17 mm across, it has a low profile and sits just 1.8 mm off the finger, it narrows to 2.2 mm at the back of the band. The center ruby measures 2.5x2.2x1.7 mm and weighs about .1 carats, in all the rubies add up to about .3 carats in total. This wonderful ring would make a lovely addition to any stack but would hold up just fine on it’s own, it weighs 1.8 grams. A Message From Victoria: Hi everyone!
