Victorian Diamond Ruby Cluster Ring Gold

I was on holiday in the Alps, on the Swiss side. I’m not much of a skier, but I like the cliffside restaurants that overlooked the snowy ledges and small mountain towns below. I was enjoying a mug of hot chocolate as I stood at the balcony watching the skiers and tourists move about. A couple in their younger years came up to me and introduced themselves. It features three dark pink round rubies which play point, counterpoint with a glow-in-the-dark diamond cluster surrounding the center stone. The halo consists of eight round Old European Cut stones. The rubies weigh approximately .56 carats total and the diamonds weigh approximately .45 carats total. The ring face measures 12 x 17 x 5.5 mm off the finger and the band width is 2.3 grams.
