PURPLE FUNK DRUM KIT

This particular drum sample pack became a concept about a month or so before Prince had passed away. To even start making this kit we had to get a hold of a LM-1 and DMX drum machine. The reason is the fact that pitching drum samples on a computer is NOT the same thing as pitching them on the actual machines. They were then recorded into Pro Tools, some were stacked and layered, some are multiple variation between different pitches, 80's gated reverb, and dry samples.To go the extra mile, we even added 2" tape saturation. The result is a funky drum kit that is suitable not only for hip-hop, but it is also great for funk, pop, and more! May Prince rest in peace and his legacy live on through the music!
