Wind through Pine Forest. After a long period of cold, but fair weather, the arrival of low pressure was accompanied by strong winds in the Swedish Stora-Sjofallet National Park. The centuries-old Scots pines which were already groaning under the ever increasing burden of snow for weeks now had to withstand gails that stripped them from their thick ice-shield in seconds.
