The moment was finally here. For the past nine months, everyone had been working towards this instant. The previous months had been filled with a flurry of activity. Planning, shopping, creating a resting place, a safe place for this tiny creature to live and grow. Not that this being hadn’t been present for the entire time. He had been; cuddled in a dark, warm place unseen by humans. Off to the side stood the one assigned to this particular child. From the foundation of the earth, this one had been.
