Acrylic on canvas. 36" X 24" This self-portrait dissects the concept of identity to explore the facets its actual unknowability. Felt vs perceived, public and private, honest or contrived. Through it I hope to challenge viewers to ask and answer the same question all in one: do I know you? Do I know you like this? In these places, in these ways? And how much of someone can you ever really know? But more importantly much of yourself?
