Glazed Festonee Long Tom with Attached Saucer

Festonee is a French term for a ruffled shirt sleeve, and is appropriate for this French inspired, scalloped rim long tom.  Long toms are taller proportionally than the standard flower pot, and are particularly good for amaryllis or other plants with deep taproots. Hand thrown in Rockdale, Wisconsin by Peter. Fired to 2350° F Lead-free stoneware glaze. Drainage hole into attached saucer. Each pot is made by hand on the potter's wheel, and glazed by hand.  Slight variations in size, glaze application and texture are elements of the handmade process and are to be expected.
