Sunset Over Maui

This photo was taken from the west shore of Maui at sunset. You can see the island of Molokai in the right middle of the picture and just a bit of the island of Lanai on the left. Just hours before the picture was taken there were giant green sea turtles resting on the rocks in the foreground. This is also the place where Humpback whales come to mate and have their babies so during the day you will often see these gentle giants breaching off in the distance. What a magical place to take the time to observe the simple rhythms of life! It’s something in our fast-paced world that we often forget to do. Take time to pause and enjoy the blessings of life, whether it be the laugh of a child, the first rays of a sunrise, or the warmth of a hug.
