Downeaster Wind Speed & Direction with "Tru-Gust" Our 6" \"Tru-Gust\" wind meter is an exciting, attractive, and feature rich instrument. There are no fancy gimmicks here. There are only the best materials, construction, and graphics available anywhere in this price range. The Tru-Gust option lets you see with the push of a button, the highest recorded wind gust! Pushing a small button on the bottom of the instrument moves the needle to show the highest wind speed since the last reset. The Tru-Gust display provides a memory of the highest wind gust, and is designed to be reset by pressing a small button on bottom of instrument with a pen point or similar object. This feature is useful in areas where hurricane force winds are common. Wind direction is displayed on an eight arrow compass, with north at top of compass. Winds up to 120MPH (or 104 knots) are measured, and their direction is indicated on the 8 points of the LED compass.  It's a simple instrument that tracks your forecast
