
Forked Ash Wood Wand
This wand is made from White Ash wood and measures approximately 18 inches / 48 centimeters long and 3.5 inches / 9 centimeters at its widest point. After ritually harvesting (and then curing) this forked bough from a propitiated Ash tree, I proceeded to sand and smooth the surface of the wood, making sure to preserve the natural shape of the piece. Once I was satisfied with the texture of the wood, I went on to stain the wand using a traditional Hearth Soot pigment, which I alternately layered and re-sanded in order to give the wood its mottled coloration. Finally, I sealed the wand using Wisefool's Glaze (a magically ensouled wood varnish created from a variety of potent arboreal resins), and then polished the surface using Wisefool's Oil (a powerful hallowed oil of sorcerous empowerment that also serves as a fantastic wood conditioner.)
