Boulder Opal w Blue Green Swirls and Malachite Ring. Size 7.

These two wonders of nature both exhibit painterly swirls. The 3 1/4 carat boulder opal is an inky black with midnight blue and flashy green. The malachite picks up the green of the opal and a lush cluster of lapis rondelles at the center completes the thought. The opal is wrapped in a bezel of 22k gold on oxidized silver with gold dots, while the malachite is wrapped in the oxidized silver on an 18k gold/silver bimetal oval. The double-wire band measures a size 7 and has a gold dot where the two wires join in the back.
